Bottega Louie 6 Piece Macaron Box Packaging Design
The decision to develop a 6 piece Macaron box was made when we noticed the patisserie customers that ask for the 5 piece box would typically ask for 6 macarons initially and take one extra outside of the 5 piece box. I had drafted and hand-cut prototypes for 6 pc boxes out of cardstock. One of those designs included a flat box design and an insert for the macarons to nest in 6 compartments
The presentation of the products and the box is vital. The boxes are friction closed with tight tolerances and enclosed with a ribbon. A branded tissue is set underneath the insert and the macarons to drape over the macarons delicately.
Bottega Louie Gift Bag Design
The Gift Bag was born out of necessity. The previous bags we had in stock were fragile and inconvenient. It was tall and skinny, and couldn't hold much product before needing a larger bag. The gift bag was designed specifically around the pastry boxes to modularly fit any combination of the pastry boxes save the largest ones.
